CJD invites "Dancer Friendly" instructors to get the beginners haste in learning the basics as well as giving you a workout during the one hour intermediate lesson. These lessons help you master new and old moves so you can show them off on the dance floor.
There is no need to change CJD's very well liked venue at the Suzanne Patterson Ctr. With great instructors teaching, sensational DJs spinning tunes and the refreshment spread available, CJD challenges anyone to offer more for the $12.00 a person fee. Come check it out.

Beginner • 7:00 pm |

with Michael Andino
Mike Andino needs no further introduction. He is simply one of the best if not the best Salsa dance instructors in the tri state area. This dance with CJDS at the Suzanne Patterson Ctr has been steadily increasing it's monthly attendance, and the name that is often heard associated with this is, Mike Andino.
Just to give you a "for instance", the May attendance number was an incredible 212. With this number of dancers there is little chance you will not be able to dance until you simply cannot dance any more.
Case closed.

So do not be alarmed.

8:30 pm - 11:30 pm
The venue stays the same with the trusted Suzanne Patterson Center. And my main man and DJ, Carlos Hendricks, will be spinning his Latin playlist. Can I tell you that I am in the 4th year of managing the Salsa dances for CJDS and I have NEVER heard one negative comment about Carlos Hendricks who has DJ'd 90% of those monthly dances.
And as many will atest to, the food spread is extraordinary
Another "case closed". And look at the price - a third "case closed".

Beginner Batacha • 7:00 pm |

with Michael Andino
Hey all you Latin dance lovers, it's Mike Andino at the instruction helm once again. If you've been fortunate enough to have witnessed Mike's teaching method in the past then you know how good he is and the reason people love him.
Doing something a little different this month with an opening half hour of beginner Bachata.
Then Mike will take us to a one hour intermediate/advanced hour of Salsa.

|
Intermediate/Advanced • 7:30 pm |
|
|
with Michael Andino
As mentioned above, this one hour lesson will consist of intermediate/advanced moves by Mike Andino. Beginners don't be afraid of this because Mike is sooooo smooth he could very well have you showing some advanced moves of your own. So stick around to see for yourself.
Said many times in the past, Mike doesn't take his money and run after his lessons. He stays with us for most of the evening to answer questions and give you personal tips by simply asking. This is the reason Mike is so popular with dancers who visit with CJDS every first Saturday of the month.

8:30 pm - 11:30 pm
Carlos Hendricks is all that. He is the main Latin DJ with CJDS. Why? First and foremost, his Latin playlist is, "all that".
Carlos hails form San Juan, Puerto Rico. So I don't think there needs to be an explanation as to why his playlist is - "all that".
And secondly, Carlos is one of the best "feel the crowd" DJ's around(not to mention "nicest"). And when Carlos see's a string of his upcoming cuts about to hit the air, he can get on the dance floor and "cut some rug" himself.
The venue stays the same at the Suzanne Patterson Center and the dance manager puts out an unreal finger food array.
Look at the admission price below. Could it be any lower?

TBA? It doesn't matter what Latin dance disciplin Mike Andino is teaching because dancers attend Mike's lessons because he is "Mike Andino". If the lesson for the evening happens not to be a dancer's favorite, Mike has them loving it afterward due to his easy to follow, dancer friendly teaching style, coinciding with personality.
So whatever the lesson eventually posted, come see for yourself. Mike have you lighjt on your feet no matter what.

I have had people come up to me at the Salsa Sensation dances from these two hotspots and say they are impressed with what CJDS has to offer:Top Instructors, Fabulous DJ, venue and buffet style, super snack food spread.
Nothing more needs to be said.
