Ballroom Blitz

Come dance the night away with Central Jersey Ballroom Dance or simply have a good time at the party. Low key, low pressure, lots of friendly people, great music, good snack, plenty of parking. It is not just for dancing, it is also a lot of fun. General admission: $12 adults, $8 students (includes 1 hour lesson. Different price for special events and workshops.) Refreshments and open dancing until 11:30 pm. No partners needed. Beginners welcome.

Many of us Ballroom dancers have been wanting to try out Argentine Tango but feel that we don't know enough Tango to dance it all night. So Central Jersey Dance Society is offering an 1.5 hour of Argentine Tango Crash Course with our very best Tango Teachers Guillermo and Vittoria, plus 3 hours of ballroom mix dancing after the lesson.
The lesson will start with the basics and slowly move to more advanced (intermediate) steps.
Guillermo and Vittoria are two of our very best teachers. Once you try their lesson, you might be hooked on Tango. Don't worry, we have an Argentine Tango dance every month and you can continue your lesson and tango dancing after this Tango crash course.

This month in Ballroom Blitz, you get a 1.5 hour of Argentine Tango Crash Course with our very best Argentine Tango Teachers, follow by 3 hours of ballroom dancing, plus snack, refreshment, and free parking. All for 12 dollars per adult (or 8 dollars per student with valid student ID.)
Argentine Tango lesson starts at 7PM and ends at 8:30PM.
Ballroom Dance party starts at 8:30PM and ends at 11:30PM.

New to the dance? Not sure what to do? Ask Irina or Phil at the front desk and they will help you to meet new friends and get the dancing going.

Dancing Under The Stars!

Come join us for another night of Dancing Under The Stars! Our first dance mix night in June was very successful and Hinds' Plaza was filled with people dancing! The Plaza looked beautiful at night with its light on the trees.
3 hours of a mixed dance of swing, west coast swing, hustle, salsa, cha cha, rumba, bachata, merengue, night club 2 step, tango, slow waltz and slow foxtrot. (Due to the space formation of the Plaza, fast traveling dances such as Quickstep, Vienese Waltz, Samba etc might not be played.)
And it is free!
Location: Hind Plaza, in front of Princeton Library, on Witherspoon Street.
Parking: Either on the Street or a parking garage behind the library.
Information: No instruction. Bring your own water. Bring an extra T-shirt or Shirt.
There are places where you can purchase drinks and food.
Floor: Stone surface so bring comfortable shoes, dance sneakers. Bring several pairs and experiment.
Setting: Great! Pretty Plaza with park benches, tables, and chairs, with lights all around. BYO picnic.
If you are new to the dance and not sure what to do, come talk to the DJ and he will help you to meet some new friends.

Don't miss our 1.5 hour of Cha Cha Crash Course with Candace. The lesson will start from basic steps and slowly work its way to intermediate steps. It is good for both beginner and experienced dancers.

Everyone loves Candace and you will see why once you take a lesson with her. She's back to give us an 1.5 hour of Cha Cha lesson starting 7PM and ends at 8:30PM.
After the lesson, ballroom dance party starts with great music by professional DJs Michelle and Bob of MB Music all the way till 11:30PM.
1.5 hour of Cha Cha crash course, plus 3 hour fabulous dancing, delicious refreshment, free parking, and lots and lots of friendly people to dance with, all for $12. You will even get a discount if you have a valid student ID. So come for the night of fun and dancing and meet some new friends.

Many people have been asking for a lesson in Viennese Waltz. We are so blessed to have Candace twice this month and she's back to teach us on this wonderful dance.
It will be a beginner lesson from 7:30PM to 8:30PM.
